During a ski touring trip on a glacier, all skiers are always equipped with specific equipment. This is what we call alpine progression equipment.
Each skier must be equipped with a harness, two carabiners and a 120cm sling. Depending on the trip it must also be equipped with an ice screw, a straight ice ax and a pair of crampons.
The guide also carries a rope of 30 to 50 meters depending on the number of participants.
